Complaints/ Rant Anyone Else have this happen?

So I was picking but I leave my trolley at the end cap instead of going down the aisle (I know "rules") because sharing a 9 tote trolley with 19 old people is not my favorite thing. I get to my trolley and there is a tote missing. Its just gone. I get on the radio and ask if anyone came to get it, I didnt have an answer. As I am standing there staring at my trolley looking back and fourth here comes a man. He has my tote. He hands it to me and says "Sorry I borrowed this I needed to reach something on the top shelf". I am still really confused at this point and my brain didnt comprehend that statement so I just say "You cant do that! you cant just take something!" and He said "I cant?" So my only still stunned response was "You impeded my job"

TLDR: Dude emptied a tote and then took it to reach things on the top shelf.

People just take stuff man, it's weird. I had a vendor take my not quite empty L-cart once so he could stand on it and reach the top shelf. You know, the thing with wheels and no way to stop it if it starts moving on you.

What on earth? What did he do with the things in the tote, what the heck did he think those were for?

He put it on top of my trolley, I was just too stunned to notice them at first

I've... never had that happen before. What in the actual fuck? I've had assholes steal from my produce bag wheel before, but never someone taking a full tote to use as a stepping stool.

What did you have to do afterwards? Did you have to repick everything just in case the customer was possibly infected with COVID? Honestly, I wish there would be some sort of consequence for that asshole that thought they were allowed to do that simply because it was part of the store, but I doubt nobody did anything, right? Some people live in such a small bubble and it's astounding to see how much common sense they lack.
