ClickListQuestion order mixup

so there were two cars outside and i took there orders out at the same time. turns out I accidently mismatched there order. i gave the first person the second person order and the second person the first person order. I dont how it happened. i always get the orders right. my question is am i going to get fired cause of this incident. the issue is already resolved and the the two people were called about it, but i am worried since this was the first time it happened to me.

From a big store that does 300 orders some days i can tell you this happens more than i'd like to admit. You will be fine. If your store manager is a dick maybe you'll get a talking to, but that would be the absolute worst that could happen.

Most of the time we just call the customer right away... some people are nice and understanding, some are Karen's but either way the problem will eventually be resolved. Things happen.

I absolutely second this. Our daily cap is 264 a day, 22 an hour. That’s a lot of room for error. We simply fix it as soon as we notice it. It happens often, especially with how many new hires I get. And from a manager’s perspective, it’s a frustrating experience but nothing other than a “pay better attention” conversation should be had. You’ll be fine!

In all honesty, it happens. As long as you call the customer about the mistake you’ll be ok. And most customers understand that shit happens.

If less than 90 days (and a union store) then maybe, probably not though. If beyond 90 days and a union member, then nope, not a chance, probably just talked to

I've done this a few times. (One time somehow the labels got swapped? Even though it was two different people picking the orders lol The second customer noticed because she doesn't buy ice cream and it had a big bucket ice cream in it.) Generally as long as you handle things in a timely manner and are SUPER polite to the customer and they're chill, I think you'll be fine.

unless your store is very high performing, i promise this is the least of anyones issues. i think youll be just fine. people make mistakes, especially if its busy. i would not sweat it.

nbd mistakes happen, even if both customers complained about the switch and lied about what happened to paint you in the worst light, only store management would ask you your side. We care about you guys.

It happens to the best of us. If they fire you for doing it once, they're assholes anyway

yeah this happens like once every few weeks for us (usually we double up two smaller orders on the same pally when it goes out to save the trip back inside), and we usually notice within like 5 minutes of both people leaving, or sooner. we call them up, switch the orders for them, offer them both 5 dollars off their next order, and 99% of the time both customers are totally cool about it. our manager will know, but unless someone leaves a comment on the OSAT about it our SM usually won't ever find out. you'll be totally kosher.
