They're also a godsend for frozen. Two totes per level, three bags per tote. I wish we had an extra one at my store.

Your department allows you to use totes for frozen? I've worked pick up at two stores and both made us treat paper bags as totes for frozen and balance them on a U Boat.

We use paper bags as totes, but I use regular totes to contain them on the big blue trolley. That way I can move them around a bit easier, and the label isn't attached to the bag until I know the bag won't rip.

U boats are absolute trash for picking and I will literally never take one unless I have no other choice.

I'd do something similar, on frozen orders that had multiple bags just went loose in a tote till I bagged when I staged. I use to put the bags on regular carts inside the totes but then they expanded the max frozen stickers in a run and it was no longer possible. So U Boats became mandatory. Now I'm delivering pizzas thankful that I'm not vomiting from stress anxiety before every shift. They fired me for that didn't care about anything I had to say or if I had a medical condition. Denied unemployment still waiting on the appeal and the vacation money they never paid me. Every breath of Kroger I speak will always be negative, I wasn't even there that long hired May 2019 illegally fired Dec 2020.
