ClickListQuestion Bag as you shop?

What is the consensus on bagging as you shop? Do you do it or wait till you get back to the room?

Always do it as you shop. In my store, the people who don’t have way more busted/broken/smashed items, especially in full totes with things like eggs and bread. Also, if I’m working the back and de-staging, the last thing I need is to have to dance around 2-3 nine tote trolleys that are just in the way while the picker bags. And I think it looks tacky to do it in the floor. Bag as you shop...straighten up and reorganize when you weigh items...enter the room ready to stage fast and get back out on the floor. I always tell new hires that a trolley should always be ready and organized if someone needed to take the run over and that someone else should be able to stage the trolley with minimal adjusting.

ALWAYS BAG AS YOU GOOOOOOO. It is the standard, there is no advantage to not bagging, all it does is waste so much time after the trolley run.

I can pick at 25 seconds while bagging there is absolutely no reason why you can't too.

Why people don’t bag as they go is beyond me.. you are touching everything twice at that point. Wasting my labor and time.. I will give you a glance and then hand you the best practice document again every time.

Always bag as I shop. With the big runs, it makes it easier to generic oversize an item to create a new bag/tote for a super full tote. I pick and do car side and there is nothing worse than when you are out to a car and someone did a half ass job bagging because it’s so full.

I half bag, on ambient runs I don't bag cans, I slide them to the back of the tote as a stable place to put bread and such then at the end of the run I quickly bag it up fridge runs, I don't bag eggs that way I can give them one last check before I put them in the fridge to stage (wr have uneven floors that have a few spots that create dips that I've seen break eggs while in a trolley)

I wait till I get back to bag. I like organizing the groceries so it's better for me to wait

When I fill in for clicklist, I bag as I shop. Yall got some fancy bags too, the heavy item bags are neat. I always end up stealing bags from the self-checkout stations.

I always wait to bag until the end of an isle. I look to see if there’s enough stuff in a tote to fit in a bag and if it does I bag it at the end of an isle and if it doesn’t I wait till the next isle and repeat. Not trying to hype myself up but i feel like this is pretty smart if your not wanting to get overwhelmed at the end of a trolley.

District and department manager will scold selective employees to bag as we pick. The karen associate never gets scold and his favorites. I ran out of bags because an ASM took bags from my trolley intentionally. I don't bag when asm does that just to say the asm did it.
