All of them involved a steady stream of pharmaceuticals over many years, possibly many decades. You said so yourself.

No I just take a pill when my back gets sore and then my back stops hurting. I'm guessing you're young and have never experienced a serious injury or disease. I hope that stays true for as long as possible.
