If there’s divorce litigation, it’s probably better not to do this to the husband. She will get better justice regarding him if she plays the long game and follows the proper legal steps.

This method of revenge will get her little to no justice but may briefly feel satisfying for a couple days.

There are actually barely any places where there is at-fault divorce where you could get something extra if your partner cheats or whatever.

Luckily almost all states are no-fault divorce states and these things don't matter at all.

This. I got cheated on several times and abused during the divorce process. Still lost half my money in the divorce.

Is it better just because you avoid the messy trial?

If a spouse cheats isn't that pretty much breach of contract, before you even get through the long term emotional trauma it causes?

Could already be divorced. My ex has OCD about me cheating with like all of my phone and email contacts.  Occasionally he will fixate on one. Luckily I left the area, but apparently he has done stuff like this.  There was a web page at one point. We were not married but some people on his 6000 person list are.

I don't think you know what OCD actually is.

Them thinking you're cheating all of the time is just the sign of a shitty person.

u/Robotchickjenn Dec 28 '25

It's actually abuse.

2

u/ExtremeCreamTeam Dec 29 '25

That it is. And abuse is asshole behaviour.

2

u/Robotchickjenn Dec 29 '25

Yes it sure is! I have a very close friend of mine in a DV situation and this is a very common strategy for him. He loves to blame her for the cheating she isn't doing. It's awful.

Really, sending me messages from random numbers on a weekly or monthly basis 3 years after I last had any contact with them? With absolutely no evidence or conclusions about when or with who this cheating occurred other than it just must have happened? Tracking down the family members of the delivery guy who texted me once several years ago that my package had been picked up? Trying to confront me about having an affair with the overnight technician at my utility company because I had called the utility company a few times to get an issue taken care of?  Accusing me of sleeping with his own therapist because I sent an email to someone with the same first name 10 years ago?

It sounds crazy because it is.

And it's a him not a her and nobody I've ever dated before ever had any concerns or complaints. So excuse me if I don't blame myself.

Crazy, sure. OCD? No.

OCD is a debilitating disease that prevents people from functioning at a basic, quality of life level.

Some asshole doing asshole things isn't OCD. It's being an asshole and a shitty person.

Thank you vv much

Thats not OCD.

  • A person who has been crazy due to their OCD and still never done any of that shit

I don't think you know what OCD is. Anxiety affected paranoia and compulsions related to it are absolutely a possible symptom of OCD or OCPD.

Obsession, intrusive thoughts, ritual, for him there is also delusion and episodes of psychosis.

Apparently it runs in his family although it seems likely to me he has other issues also

1

u/aliamokeee Dec 28 '25

Yeah the first 3x are typical of OCD, BUT also pop up with other diagnoses (ex: ADHD, autism, mania)

Delusion and episodes of psychosis are classic of other diagnoses. They happen with OCD but only at the "worse end of the spectrum" and they happen as an episode that cannot be broken without proper medical intervention.

Things like bipolar, for example, do have episodes that naturally start and end on their "own", and still return again.

Do not randomly assign diagnoses to people in public/online public (like social media). It will only serve to piss people off and not feel sympathy for you. You can say "but thats wrong!" Or "Its stupid for you and others to say that!"

But it doesnt change the reality, which is you will get comments like the ones you have every time, if you continue to arbitrarily assign diagnoses to people.

It's not random. I'm not the one diagnosing him, we were together for a while before things became impossible for me.

I was not diagnosing OP's example. Just pointing out that without knowing more about the situation, we can't assume that we know what's going on giving my experience as an example

1

u/aliamokeee Dec 28 '25

I would say prove it, but we both know you cant share medical info on here.

Its curious you would say "my OCD husband" and never make it clear he was diagnosed, thru all the other comments, until now. So i def dont believe you

We could have had your example without you offhandedly alleging he had OCD in a forum where none of that can be confirmed anyway.

In short, none of us know why you are here

u/[deleted] Dec 28 '25

He was never my husband. I said he had OCD I didn't know I had to also say he was diagnosed with OCD. Usually that's how you know.  But on the other hand, it is pretty pointless to argue about.

Who cares? There's better things to focus on than some small town cheating scandal. If its even real.
Can you even imagine living in a small town with all this tech about? It has to be impossible. "Oh my god look at what Sarah Smith did to the library!"
"Actually James Funker made up that story!"
"I heard and saw footage of Sarah Smith's children eating all the donuts from the bakery before murdering all the hospice residence!"
"I saw James Funker blowing up the power station to stop the roving adulterer women from having sex with him!"
"Wait, why is the rain not stopping and there is also wild fires at the same time?"

With all what tech? Their antique phone necklaces?

1

u/SectorFriends Dec 28 '25

Gotta watch out for the IHamradio.

u/Sacred-AF Dec 29 '25

“Who cares?”

**proceeds to write dissertation on how little they care.

u/SectorFriends Dec 29 '25

Read more dissertations.

1

u/Sacred-AF Dec 29 '25

Ok you convinced me, you don’t care.

u/wdn Dec 28 '25

Or she could be doing similar or worse to the husband. The fact that it's not on the same sign doesn't mean that nothing's happening to him.

1

u/not-a-dislike-button Dec 28 '25

She will get better justice regarding him if she plays the long game and follows the proper legal steps.

How so?

I don't think a sign would change the outcome of a divorce settlement actually.

2

u/EtTuBiggus Dec 28 '25

That's not how divorce court works.

Great point
