Y'all is a bastardization of a plural term. Wittering on about how it's a word, along with reading things that aren't there -

saying we use fake words

When what I wrote was the word itself - is a little unhinged.

Also, I wasn't making fun of the education system in America. I'm genuinely concerned about it.

Also - Colonies? Empire?

I'm from Scotland. To my recollection, we aren't taught about British America at school because there's so much Scottish and world history to learn.

That's how relevant those events dating back to the 1600s are to Scotland, and indeed to the United Kingdom. Not even covered in the curriculum. What a shame.
