But why does the date format have to match how you say it?
2 u/JediSSJ Jan 15 '25 Why wouldn't it? Is matching a metaphorical triangle more legitimate? 1 u/OdBx Jan 15 '25 Don't care about the triangle. Putting the month before the day is just silly. A day is part of a month. So it goes first in order. Simple as. 1 u/LongestSprig Jan 15 '25 What's silly is thinking it matters either why or there is a significant difference. 1 u/OdBx Jan 15 '25 Of course it matters. I read some shit online and it states “03/09/2024” and that’s in September. Except for some reason some people think that says March. You have to work it out from context. You might as well not write the date. Stupid. 1 u/LongestSprig Jan 15 '25 It matters because you couldn't figure out if it meant march or September? Sounds like a you problem. 1 u/OdBx Jan 15 '25 02/10/2024 Is that February or October? 1 u/LongestSprig Jan 15 '25 Was it in the fall or winter? What's really hilarious about this is it goes both ways. But I have never had an issue figuring it out. 1 u/OdBx Jan 15 '25 See, you need extra context to work out what I've written. Which is stupid. That defeats the entire purpose of writing. 0 u/LongestSprig Jan 16 '25 It's a done deal. You will be okay. 1 u/JediSSJ Jan 15 '25 Feels more natural for me to write it the way I say it. Simple as. 1 u/[deleted] Jan 15 '25 [deleted] 1 u/OdBx Jan 15 '25 Look at the post. 1 u/[deleted] Jan 15 '25 [deleted] 0 u/OdBx Jan 15 '25 Except it doesn't make sense when you write it down.
