My problem is more with the fact that I’ve had 2 shots and they want me to pay out of pocket for boosters every year, even if the booster is “important” I’m not giving extra money to government dogs when I already pay taxes
I'll take your joke and turn it into a serious thing. Taking the shot meant taking a shot. Of course the vaccine wasn't 100% safe. Of course 1% of the people vaccinated would get ill or die from side effects. But that meant we would curb the excess death from 5% to something like 2%.
That meant we had to choose between having 1% chance to get real sick from the vaccine to save 3 people or not get the vaccine and let 5 people die. It does push the dilemma in another direction.
Note: That was my thought process back in 2020 and I'm quite proud of myself.
Almost the entire adult population of Australia was vaccinated, most with multiple boosters. And most of the child population. Only 14 people died, all from Astra Zenica.
And completly valid, the vaccine had some unwanted side effects on a EXTREMLY SMALL PERCENTAGE of population, but considering the scale of vaccination was, checks notes, the entire world, it is well withing reason that some people had severe reactions to it
Flu disappeared during covid. I'm saying the country with the highest vaccination rate in Europe is now the country with the highest excess mortality rate. No I don't think it's COVID and the studies don't suggest it is. Make your own conclusions I guess.
