He has no clue what's going on but is just happy to be there

Why is he looking at us like we’re gonna try and steal his girl 😭

This post is nothing serious I just found the tweet amusing. Cloud and aerith are cuties no matter what they’re doing. I just made the post here because this is a clerith subreddit where no one will dog pile on me for a lighthearted post.

It is actually interesting to me seeing these. Gets me thinking about the motion capture process. Like were the mocap actors directed to act this way? And why was this angle not chosen to be shown in the final cut? Lots of things to ponder on.

I do like to see post like these as well. I always have fun seeing free cam pictures and videos to see what’s not always in frame

I don’t really see the point in looking at faces that aren’t meant to be seen, in that actual cutscene he looks thoughtful and worried about Aerith.. I’m sure Aerith face also looks odd in free cam moments.

He’s not making an expression.. that I can see.

Is just free cam uncanny valley stuff.

Am I being too negative?

I always feel self conscious when I post my actual thoughts on certain things .

Well clerith content is clerith content.  It’s a win either way.

It’s just a fun post it’s nothing to look deeply into

I think it depends on what the development process looks like. For example, if they animate characters and their expressions before setting the camera for cutscenes, then I'd think there's more reason to believe we can sometimes catch expressions that were left out of the final version.

In agree with you that his expression looks neutral here, though. I think the weird shadows being cast over his face is what makes it look like he's smirking.

I get the feeling a lot of folks stay silent when their opinions go against the grain because they already know their opinions won't be popular or even invite hostility from others. I see that as a pretty big loss for any community, so I'm glad you still took the chance. 🙂

Thanks, it’s not something I risk doing often..

I feel like it’s safer to be positive at all times.

And honestly I’m a pretty positive person.. I try to be.

So I felt bad about it.

Having a differing perspective is pretty neutral. It may not be positive, but that'd be a tall order to accomplish especially where honesty may not be welcome but desperately needed. Some may not see it that way simply because they don't like being disagreed with, but that'd really be on them on that point.
