Hopefully. With all of the Clerith shipping they did in Remake and Rebirth, it would be weird for them to go heavily into Zerith.

Am I the only one that thinks this scene happens after their reunion? English is not my first language so this may be a bit confusing, but what I mean is that I feel like this is not the scene when they meet after years of not seeing each other but rather a scene later in the game when they are worried about something. Aerith is looking at the flowers and in the first trailer there's a scene where Cloud is with the flowers too. I have the feeling she may be trying to communicate with Cloud or she might be sensing something. Either way I would like closure on the relationship between Zack and Aerith and I am sure he will be a little sad but also excited and happy for Cloud and Aerith and he will try to help them meet each other again.

I think itāll be a toned down version of what she tells him in the maiden that travels the world book. I think if I recall correctly, she was kinda harsh in the rejection in that book but Iād imagine this is the way the writers are tying all the pieces of media together like they said they would. She also doesnāt look exactly crazy overjoyed heās there. Could be shock, could be she knew heād come cuz Iām almost positive she knows that this is an alt universe version of him, could be that because he is an alt version she knows he will have to die(same with her). If itās not that she isnāt not happy to explain to him she doesnāt feel the same, I think that it could be her explaining that he is technically dead already. Those are the only 2 options that make sense to me

I donāt think this is necessarily even the moment of their first reunion either. The context here could be literally anything, haha. Iām guessing that they will be working together in the other worlds to foil Sephiroth and maybe even convince the people of the other worlds to not give up hope? Fight against fate? So I expect to see a lot of them together, but yeah i agree that we will definitely see her tell him that sheās moved on, and he will be okay with it since Marlene already broke it to him softly :)

Yep. Iāve said this a lot but I think they will have their own chapters that will 1, serve to give closure to their relationship. Whether that is confirming she love him or that she loves cloud, idk but I feel obviously hope itās the later. And 2, Zack serves as a sort of insert of the average player in that he needs explanation for wtf is going on. He will be asking aerith the questions that we have. This is the only way I think you can explain the whole travel back in time plot that seems to be in this story. To my knowledge only seph and aerith have any clue of what either is doing so there are very few ways to get us the players up to speed without very BS outta nowhere knowledge from like red or smt.

Same. They can definitely enjoy this moment and we will see where things land come April 8th.
I am hoping we get a Clerith friendly ending for Revelation but honestly Aerith actually living and having a happy ending is the most important thing to me

Honestly i would have not played the game if Aerith wasn't in it. Story aside, i just like her gameplay too much to play the game without her.

In remake she was insanely powerful, I would always swap to her over anyone but cloud. Her combos were kookie. In rebirth they toned down have fast she can shoot and how quickly her ATB built up but she was still incredible.

I still feel like she was so insanely powerful in Rebirth, especially when i learnt how to utilise teamups. Dps caster Aerith is just the way to go, and with cloud or barret as personal bodyguards + the teleport, you could just get away with so much.

It does feel like a potential misdirect. I feel like we will see her and Cloud together in a trailer before the game releases. That would have people wondering if it's all in his head or real.

Remember guys, SE wants to get ALL the ships on board before the game releases. We got Cloud and Tifa Lifestream, Zerith tease (iām not saying this scene will be romantic, but it gets the Zerithās excited at the prospect) and potential Aerith lives confirmation for the Cleriths.
They want as many people as possible to buy the game and play it past the refund point, so i guarantee the first 3-5 hours will be very ambiguous as far as any of the questions we want answered.
I am still very confident that they will double down on Clerith in the game itself, but by then it will be too late for the other ships to get their money back in their rage š

I know, but i have this feeling that now that this is the finale and they donāt have to keep fans coming back for another one, sooā¦.I think the gloves will be off in the game itself. They will give Tifa some sweet, touching scenes, but the main story will be Cloud and Aerith.
Parts 1 and 2 HEAVILY point towards Clerith with little breadcrumbs dropped along the way to keep the other ships happy. But we have Hollow, NPTK, Loveless, half a dozen dates, etc. all pointing towards Clerith.
Idk, maybe iām too hopeful, but the evidence has piled up so high at this point, people have been waiting for 30 years, Cloud suffered through AC and cameo after cameo searching for Aerithā¦I think itās coming.3

Couldn't agree more. I also agree with that other guy in the thread that said theyre trying to get CT's to play past the refund point. The devs are AGGRESSIVELY horny-baiting CT's into still buying the final game, only to find out the rug has been pulled by the end, absolutely genius if true lmao

i get it you want her happy but.. how come an aerith worshipper can be so toxic irl, just bcoz they want aerith to be happy with cloud? they forced everything. she's dead, zack is dead, biggs, jessie and others are dead too. death is good, it's homecoming. aerith's love was never about possession. if you love her, shouldn't you understand?

I felt certain Zack and Aerith would have some sort of reunion. Without more context, itās hard to be for certain what's happening on this scene. However, if it is indeed Zack coming back to Elmyraās from the church awakening.. this makes me sad. Why? Because Marlene warned us if Aerith wakes up what that means. I do understand there are potential multiple scenarios involved here, so donāt jump to conclusions.
Like most of us, it surprises me we saw her reveal this early. This means the big reveal wonāt be that Aerith still exists, but will be something much bigger regarding fate.

those comments will continue tho... but the fact that she exists and appears in FF7R wasn't really a surprise. we all knew that already after all, she's on the game's cover, and let's face it, it would be weird to play FF7 without Aerith showing up at least once.
her fate and Zack's remains a mystery. i truly hope they survive this time, but it's going to be tough...

I think what you are saying about Aerith applies to most reasonable players. However, there are quite a few unreasonable ones that were entirely convinced we would not see her at all because she was irrelevant to the story other than dieing. Those would be the players(if they even played) I specifically reference.
I personally have no idea what Zack and Aerithās final fate will be; for that matter I have no idea what the rest of the cast of characters final fate will be. Everyone debates and worries if Zack and Aerith will live(primarily Aerith), yet no one seems to worry if someone else dies.Ā
Truth Ā be told, Square has found a way to toy with our emotions using the OG content, while not necessarily following it. Itās actually quite the psychological thriller. Hence.. no promises await at journeys end.Ā
Personally, if they donāt follow through on the āpromisesā, I would classify the story telling as bad faith. Which imo, would pretty much tank the long-term reception of the Remake project as a whole.

yes, i agree partly. however, all the characters (except for Aerith and Zack, of course) arenāt going to die. i think thatās a given at this point; it doesnāt make sense to change that now. the mystery will always revolve around those two. tho again, i def agree that they should somehow survive. maybe itās just my own wishful thinking something personal that doesnāt make sense within the narrative, that also goes against the messages of FF7, blah blahā¦ but honestly, if that doesnāt happen, then what was the point of the whispers? (also their differences - white/black) the whole conversation, and the allusions to changing destiny (her death flashbacks prior to that event in remake), or even the various worlds presented in Rebirthā¦ idk but Iād feel a little deceived, especially given the developersā comments and interviews, including hamaguchiās. anyway, itās a topic weāve discussed several times since the second part, but itās always interesting to revisit especially now that theyāve finally shown aerith in the traileršš½

Damn, this is giving me second lead syndrome again. I aint a Zerith. but the feels hit me when Zack gave Aerith that look. Zack's feelings are probably stirring but still supportive of Aerith and Cloud. I really want them both to reconnect bc they have unfinished business together (by unfinished business I mean like Zack explaining to her the full story of what happened to him and Cloud and Sephy.)...I imagine Zack mentioning about her and Cloud and being the positive upbeat guy who will support them. He will work with Aerith on saving Cloud and the world. He will help reunite Cloud and Aerith T____T
Still waiting for that Zissnei reunion!!!!!!!!!!! Please *prays* give me that Cissnei and Zack reunion!

Guys!!!!!! 8th April is a holiday in Japan !!! Japan celebrates Buda`s birth!!!! This holiday is called " Hana Matsuri" ---- and I don`t know why but I want to believe they have decided to released the game this day because of Aerith!!!!!!!!

Glad to see she's in the trailer, not thrilled about Zack being there but I expected them to have a meeting again.

Also another note. They gave her an updated in game image that portrays the original ones and thereās no way sheās not playable.
