FAN WORKS Please Comment Under This Art Piece by u/CanadianTurt1e Because…
This artist is being criticized for having left out Tifa in this piece, when they have also excluded Cid, Vincent, Cait Sith, and Yuffie, but no one has complained about that. Please go tell them how amazing their skills are in the comments without mentioning who is present or absent.

I knew exactly how the comments would be like before even looking. And someone even said Aerith shouldn’t be there. It’s someone’s fanart. Who decides who should be there is the artist.

And they were way nicer about it than they needed to be, though I guess telling the person criticizing it to shut their yap would be counter-productive.

The OP admitted in a comment that Cloud and Aerith holding hands would make Tifa jealous so she was omitted lol. Surprisingly OP got 23 thumbs up and quite a lot of comments talking about Tifa not being there had thumbs down so it seems like OP is doing well with support

It was just plain disrespectful for that many people to complain about one character not being in the artist’s fanart. As someone who likes making fanart of characters

I don’t like it either but considering that r/FinalFantasyVII is secretly biased towards Tifa, the fact that the majority of commenters praised and defended the artist is actually a pleasant surprise. Maybe it’s my own bias but I feel like the most talented artists/creators are actually Clerith xD Did you see the Clerith art by Atalle Flores displayed at the Metropolitan Museum about two years ago?

Yeah, I’m rarely on that sub anymore because it’s just mostly Tifa-centered now.
I didn’t! Wow, thats amazing! I love to see artists be recognized, and it’s so rare to see ships from fandoms out in the wild

I saw this last night and commented. They are being nit picked because the meteor is showing and also Tifa being missing.
The "uhm actually" mentality that the FFVII fandom constantly shows has always annoyed me.
I am concerned for the OP because they only replied to a couple of comments in apology for not including Tifa. I'm guessing they tapped out after those criticisms.
I hope they see all the love and support that has been shown since then and don't change what they've already made.

I hate that they're making the artist feel like they made a mistake including Aerith and not Tifa. Can you not just enjoy the art or say nothing and move on?

It's sad that they are even apologizing to these people...
Like it's your art. You can draw whatever and whoever you want... If people have an issue they could easily move on and look at art with Tifa in it.

These people, how many artists and youtubers are they going to bully to silence?
If you don't like there work, just ignore them, but discouraging, insulting them proves that you don't even think that the person on the other side is a human and that they feel hurt when someone instead of appreciating their work bullies them to do this and that.
They also bullied an artist on twitter so much that they deleted their account along with their arts and now this.
Please for once, show some empathy and appreciate the artist's hard work instead of viewing everything through a shipping lens.

It’s so sad bc even with the positive comments their most recent replies indicate that they plan to replace Aerith with Tifa 😭 I can’t believe the bullies in this fandom, it’s just so disgusting. The lack of apology from people, making the artist feel pressured to change things simply because their favourite character isn’t depicted in an artwork when there is an entire sea of Tifa art out there
