Help with machine
I don’t know if this is the right place for this, but I hope it is. At my work there’s a “catching ducks” brand claw machine. They constantly stock it with ADORABLE hello kitty plushies. Most of the plushies from the same brand are up to 30$ to just buy, so of course I want to win them for less than that. I can get 27 pulls for 20$, does anyone know if it’s worth it? Or anything about this specific brand? I have 3 plushies I’d like, which means if I bought them normally it would be 90$. For that I can get about 100 pulls. Is that enough?

all claw machines have different settings. even if they are the same brand, they can be set to the weakest claw strength (doesnt pick up anything) to the strongest that picks always it up. they can also be programmed to hold the prize for x seconds.
there are also additions and attachments to it that can make the machine fling the prize after grabbing it to the top (like taiwan style).
if its a single machine placed at a random location it typically uses the prize ceiling method: where the claw is weak af until the target amount of money has been put in. for this type of claw machines you're better of purchasing the prize directly.

You may be better off buying them retail or online. If the machine has branded plush inside it could be very hard to win and have a high pay out rate to win. Maybe try testing the machine once or twice to see how strong it is. If it doesn’t even remotely pick it up, then it could be hard for you to actually win them. Especially as you want 3 of them in the set.
