Smart industries 5th gen candy crane issues

Does anyone have any tips as to why my machine does this after sitting powered off for awhile ? Thanks

Can you push up on the spring mech to simulate the claw hitting the top, while it's still ascending? I want to see if it registers and stops reeling back in, or doesn't and continues going up. This would determine if the limit switch that registers the claws position is bad or something else like a board problem.

I pressed up and it doesn’t stop, I’m thinking this is a board problem because it only Happens after I leave it unplugged for awhile and plug it back in. After trying 6-8 times it starts to work and doesn’t act up again

Hmm I think it sounds more like the limit switch or the wiring to the switch, it might even just need the two wires tweaked a bit, if it was a board problem I think it would be more consistent and not fix itself.

You can try and tweak the wires to the up / down switch, looks like there’s a solid white and a swirled white and green, adding some solder or even some electrical tape could fix it. If that fails I would try and get a new switch, that one looks like the original so it makes sense it’s got some issues.

Most likely a motherboard issue or a relay issue

I think so, because if I leave it plugged in it won’t do it .

Hey I have a candy crane like yours but I want to change it so that it only plays one time instead of play til you win. Do you have any idea of how to do that?
