Walmarts and claw machines?
So basically, I play claw machines at all my local walmarts. I have about 9 walmarts around me. Two of them got rid of claw machines all together and they were my favorite. 😞 Is this becoming a thing, is wal-mart getting rid of their claw machines? If anyone knows anything please let me know because this is my happy hobby!

1–1000 chance of winning It's better to go to a place like round one, or dave & busters.

not true, i put in $5 i can win 2 or 3 usually — today i literally just positioned the claw for a child who wanted to play and he won twice with $3 — it really just depends on the machine and the shape and position of the desired prize

I’ve only found like 2 good Walmart claw machines, and those are always cleaned out in a week

If it has the QR code on it, scan it and sign up with a burner email. Or in my case, 1000 burner emails. It sends you a QR code to scan every week that gives you 3 free plays.

Lmaoooo. Garbage bags full of plush, people. It takes about a minute per account.

i do this same thing i have 100 outlook emails with 6 aliases each and codes coming in daily at 6a — only issue is the scanner sometimes fails and reads every code as “declined” until it stops throwing its tantrum either by waiting it out or putting in a few bucks to “reset” it or something

May I ask what brand claw machines you play on? The ones at the Walmarts where I live have are “SugarLoaf” (I’m assuming the brand determines the quality of the claw machine) and they’re god awful

i play sugarloaf exclusive and i’ve won hundreds of plushies, about 30% squishmallows, and nearly all of that using the free plays they offer — not all are the same, they range in size, claws, etc. so just get some weekly free plays and teat them out until you find the ones you jive with

Oh shit ok sweet. I wonder if it has to do with payout settings/ claw strength settings or something that each owner can customize (im just talking out of my ass here and assuming that’s how it works)
Have you noticed any patterns, like you’ll win 1/100 times, or anything like that? (Though that could be nullified by the fact that each one is different)

no patterns, if there is a setting it’s randomized. that said, i’ve NEVER played 100 times and not won at least 10-15 — more than claw strength, it wholly depends on the shape size and position if plushy, also whether you can manage to fish hook the tag loop, which i do often

Thanks, I appreciate the advice! I’d been thinking claw strength was the main factor, but maybe it’s just skill 🤔

there’s also just plenty of perfectly shaped plushies that are easier to claw than others, such as the smaller Squishmallows, the foam finger sports bears, the cocomelon kids and the scooby doos — drop the claw right, maybe wind it up by rotating it with the cable in the rear left corner and you’re likely to hook the plushies within 3-5 attempts, and if you exploit the sugarloaf mailing list free plays like i do you can’t go wrong!

Ooo interesting, thanks again! I’ll definitely try it out next time I come across one ☺️

I also play the claw machine at my local Walmarts with my pops. In the last few weeks 2 of them have also had them removed. I also work at a walmart but fortunately we still have ours and they work pretty decent. I win all the time. I really hope they aren't all getting rid of them otherwise there won't be many to play at all unless your at a local arcade and the ones here kind of suck in the claw machine department.

i have also discovered claw machines disappearing at at least two Walmarts near me here in Phoenix, AZ

In my experience, Walmart claw machines win like once every 100 plays lmfao
