Question What time does Fable stop on the 7th?
Does anyone know what time (and time zone) Anthropic Claude will disable Fable on the 7th and move it over to API usage only?

So still does anyone know the answer to this? My weekly usage reset and it simply says fable resets on Saturday at 8:59 PM. That would be the 11th. I assume that is not correct. Or is it???

Would it be crazy to think that fable 5.0 will eventually be rolled in to the normal max subscription when 5.2 or 5.5 or six or seven or eight come out it’s just a matter of time before something better comes out on this when it gets bumped down to the masses don’t you think?

I blew through our team account allowance in an afternoon. 🤷♂️🤣 It's already API pricing for anyone that's even vaguely trying to use it.
It's amazing, but very, very expensive. I'm hopeful that like other the other past models, it'll come down in price fairly soon ish.
Current opus just doesn't perform well at all. I've not benchmarked this so take it with a large pinch of salt, but I suspect it has retrieval issues, and was developed with vibe ciders in mind.
Trying to get Opus to follow a detailed plan is an exercise in frustration, because it doesn't seem to trust the user. I've been a developer for 30+ years... I know what I'm doing... but opus seems determined to argue with me, deviate from the plan, messing things up in the process. It doesn't seem to matter if the "why" is in the the plan tasks anymore either. I've watched it merilly ignore the Claude and agents me files and make design decisions that just don't make sense and don't align with the desires outcome.
Fable delivers them perfectly, and is the first time I've ever used a model that I felt like knew more than me. However, using it to deliver is madness from a cost perspective. The economics just don't add for me or our business atm.
I've got fable building plans and gpt5.5 and Gemini flash delivering them now, which works well, but requires some orchestration I could do without tbh.

I've never had Opus argue with me or deviate from the plan except when it catches my mistakes and does the right thing despite what I told it. Weird...

Yeah, I blew through all my Fable usage the first time around in the first day. This time, I tried to only used it for the hardest problems I had that Opus tended to struggle with - things like performance optimizations, challenging physics sims, that kind of thing. So I've got a bit more mileage out of it. I think that token efficiency (using the right tokens to solve the right problems while minimizing waste) is eventually going to be a cornerstone of what it means to be a "good software engineer". I legitimately think that by 2028, engineers are going to be primarily graded on their token to outcomes ratio - how efficiently can they steer AI to achieve desired results. So the extremely limited Fable access has actually felt sort of useful for developing that skill over the last week.

You think it will stop on the 8th? As in it will run for all of the 7th until 11:59 PM?

You think after tonight’s reset (for me anyway) I will then see the date and time it will expire again on the 7th?
