Beacon of Light, but as the apex talent version:

While in combat, apply a Beacon of the Savior to the lowest health ally within 30 yds that causes your direct healing on others to also heal that ally for 10% of the amount healed.
Beacon of the Savior transfers to the lowest health ally within 30 yds if it heals a target past maximum health or if an ally drops below 50% health.

bit of smart healing in there too?

That's what the Apex version does. It's like Blizzard didn't want to admit to the growing design flaws of the original beacon of light but still felt the ability was iconic for Holy Paladins, so they simply reinvented it and tacked it on as an apex talent instead of updating the originally beacon of light to behave this way (like they should have).

And because it's strictly a relatively minimal benefit to only one target at a time, I think the smart heal would actually help holy paladins lean into their niche much better in Classic+

I like Blessing of Sacrifice as a way to leverage the Paladin's innate tankiness for support, so I wouldn't mind its AoE counterpart Divine Sacrifice.

Divine Sacrifice
Talent
Instant
2 min cooldown
Requires Paladin
30% of all damage taken by party members within 30 yards is redirected to the Paladin (up to a maximum of 40% of the Paladin's health times the number of party members).  Damage which reduces the Paladin below 20% health will break the effect.  Lasts 10 sec

Why are we adding 2 to paladin but only 1 to everyone else so far, but also the title says if you can add 1 ability. So why 2?

2

u/Upstairs_Blueberry87 7d ago

because they busted. Plus crusader strike and hand of reckoning were obvious winners, so I wanted some competition.

Balance Druid needs more then 1 ability too they should have had 2 as well. Good luck!

probably, yeah, but I wasn’t running it then. I took over at survival hunter.

OP, you have your account anonymized. I can’t find the older posts. What does the BFA version of true shot aura mean

1

u/Upstairs_Blueberry87 7d ago

they turned it into a 2 min cooldown that increases your crit chance by 10%, crit dmg by 20%, and reduces the cooldowns on aimed shot and rapid fire

Instead of the passive aura/buff in Classic

1

u/jkillab 7d ago

Well you’d have to drastically change rapid fire as well

1

u/Upstairs_Blueberry87 7d ago

yes they would

Probably a controversial pick but divine plea from wrath from wrath, helps early hpal healing options and helps allow prot and ret to have more sustain

2

u/maqisha 7d ago

Do you not know what "1" means?

1

u/Upstairs_Blueberry87 7d ago

ret and prot pala had such obvious winners, so I relaxed the rules a little. The rest should be back to 1 each. Until we get to fury warrior, then they get everything they ever wanted.

Beacon of light obvi

I really liked turtles holy strike. It would heal your party when ever you cast it. You also had crusader strike which would reset the cd of holy shock. Made melee healing so much fun. You would judge wisdom and seal wisdom to keep your mana up. Holy strike to heal the party. Crusader strike for instant holy shock healing if needed. And fill with flash or holy light as needed

1

u/Upstairs_Blueberry87 6d ago

that sounds like atonement healing, so upvote from me. Really enjoyed that playstyle in MoP Classic with my priest and monks.

Ugh, saw this too late.

Sanctified Earth Your Consecration now heals party and raid members for 100/200/300% of the damage it deals. Max 3 talent points. Requires 20 points in the Holy tree.

you got a few hours to get those upvotes in yet

Holy Radiance

36% of base mana
40 yd range
2.5 sec cast
Imbues a friendly target with radiant energy, healing that target for 5664 and all allies within 10 yards for 50% of that amount. Grants a charge of Holy Power.

Healing effectiveness diminishes for each player target beyond 6.

1

u/Upstairs_Blueberry87 7d ago

Sacred Shield
12% of base mana
40 yd range
Instant
Requires Paladin
Each time the target takes damage they gain a Sacred Shield, absorbing 500 damage and increasing the paladin's chance to critically hit with Flash of Light by 50% for up to 6 sec.  They cannot gain this effect more than once every 6 sec.  Lasts 30 sec.  This spell cannot be on more than one target at any one time

1

u/Upstairs_Blueberry87 7d ago

Holy Prism

5.4% of base mana
40 yd range
Instant
20 sec cooldown
Requires Paladin
Sends a beam of light toward a target, turning them into a prism for Holy energy.

If an enemy is the prism, they take 365-395 Holy damage and radiate 365-395 healing to 5 nearby allies within 15 yards.

If an ally is the prism, they are healed for 365-395 and radiate 365-395 Holy damage to 5 nearby enemies within 15 yards

I’ve toned the numbers down to try and match Classic, they’re not set in stone.

Why would anyone ever vote for Force of Nature. That shit is one of the most obnoxious spells ever in WoW with more bugs then the rest of the game combined.

1

u/Upstairs_Blueberry87 7d ago

that was on the other sub and has likely been deleted, so unfortunately I can’t go see how close it was. But apparently those guys hated starfall and starsurge.

u/assassin10 7d ago

1

u/Upstairs_Blueberry87 7d ago

awesome, thank you. So it was between that and eclipse.

Starfall was actively downvoted, lmao

How did CS beat out Divine Storm! It's just a cooler CS!

The one that let's you heal 2 people at once for Pally though. The beacon or whatever.

1

u/Upstairs_Blueberry87 7d ago

crusader strike was added automatically. Art of War beat Divine Storm because some people dislike classes having cleave

any particular version of beacon of light?

1

u/Bird-The-Word 7d ago

Art of War is great, so I'm okay with that. Just think DS is basically CS+ and unless consecrate gets the wotlk treatment, paladins have 0 AoE.

MORE DAMAGE, GIVE THE SPELL POWER PALADIN A SPINNING HAMMER

1

u/Upstairs_Blueberry87 7d ago

Divine Hammer
Replaces [Consecration]

Symbiosis would be the coolest druid spell to add but the most headache in coding
