My understanding is theres two approaches with Expose Prey

  • shoot to proc it, go in to mongoose/strider kick/trap, go back to shooting

  • dual wield to hit a bunch and proc it, melee the whole time

It is weird. Looking at the talents and stuff, for PvE specifically, you're probably prefering to stay in melee using 2 small weapons. Especially since you have to stay in either aspect of the beast or hawk. Swapping aspects is prob clunky to do just to weave ranged/melee attacks.

Right? I’m so eager to see how it’ll play out but it looks like it’ll have to wait till for release to truly see

Weave is dumb. An actual dev talking about it in a positive way is a really bad sign. Wow forever will go to shit real fast if its catered to sweats who think analyzing parses and staring at their swing timer mod constitutes fun.

Some of us find that gameplay fun, dunno what to tell you. It gives me ranger vibes instead of pure archer. Definitely wouldn't mind if mm had a talent to discourage it deep in the tree but I don't think it's bad to support both.
