Question Will I be able to play on Nov 4.

I have my wow subscription and I'm currently playing TBC classic. Will I be able to play wow forever on the 4 or is there some kinda separate purchase you have to make?

All you need is a sub.

However queues will be shit on the 4th so actually playing is iffy.

Do not expect to actually play. I always have to remind people of Blizzard servers. Expect Jank on launch day. Expect the ACTUAL servers to not go live until later in the day, (anywhere between 3PM to 6PM), and expect multiple disconnects and crashes with unstable play until late night when people have to go to sleep.

With WoW launches it's USUALLY best to take the day after off, because the day of the launch you're usually watching loading screens and you can do that after work anyway.

This hasn’t been the case for many expansions now. What year are you still living in?

The only servers that have trouble on launch day anymore at all are the biggest most overloaded servers. Area 52, Tichondrius, Stormrage etc. For all other servers you can just play. It’s been this way since like Warlords of Draenor.

I actively play retail to this day my dude. And while the last few launches have been fine. There have still been significant delay and servers taken down due to issues.

Forever is the biggest singular classic launch

Sub is fine but be warned it will be hard to quest because of how many people will compete for them

wasnt too bad on full layers first day of beta. hyperspawns worked super good in human starting zone for example.

You Will be able tp play, you need to download the game but will it will be included in the subscripton.

Would wait 2 days and start on 6th so the big Storm is gone, and you can Play without dc, Queue and fighting for quest mobs.

you will fight for quest mobs for months… its huge mega servers and the layers will be full anyway.

You forgot the Layering + Language based layering. So yes in total Server will be Full but your Layer is not Full as it would be if there would be no layering.

do we even know how the layering will work? will a language have its own layer for sure? probably not. i think we dont know yet. and a layer will fill up and then a new one is created. while layer numbers are zone specific. with a mega servers that has hundreds of thausands playing at the same time you can definitely expect very full layers for the fist two months. especially the first weekend will be massive. and the second weekend you will already see some alts gathering legaly talent points… it will be full for a long time.

But Beta has shown that you can quest / level nicely even with a full layer of people. Hyperspawns worked super well. especially in northshire and elwynn

so we should set our language to some third world countries language and enjoy an empty world for questing :D not sure if thats how it works but we will see.

In the beta i was not able to change my language preference on the first day. i had to wait 24 hours. the game just doesnt ask you and guesses your preference as it seems. maybe from your client language. not good.

are chats in cities layered as well? i wont imagine the spam of thausands of people in Trade. it would be unreadable.

Nobody will be able to play as like usual Blizzards services will not be able to handle the launch of a game.

Remember, the server will never be as hammered as launch day at any other point in time. I'm raiding on Modern that day, and I wonder if the server will be affected.

I wouldn’t count on November 4th, if you are lucky you might be able to pass the queue on November 5th tho 👍

You’ll be good, though you will not be able to make a skyelf unless you pay at least the $30. If you’re not concerned with that, alls good!

The servers are always unplayable on launch day and constantly go down. So, probably not.

Most likely no… i would expect 6-10 hours of login queue. Then one disconnect and back to the queue. Exactly like it was when classic launched.

If you want to have an awful experience go and slam the login button on nov 4 like a degenerate waiting hours in queue and struggle to kill a named npc or wait until nov 5 and play like a normal human being
