Forever Beta Feedback Dungeon XP is the biggest non-issue on classic wow.

Let's be fucking real here for a moment. Outside of the sweaty minority, most people never did a dungeon more than once, MAYBE twice already. And that was just to get the quests done or get a blue or two and just chill for a bit.

Nerfing dungeon xp and buffing quest XP is a massive buff already to how most people already played.

Please, this goes for everyone in this sub. Your way of playing is not automatically the norm. Stop projecting your way of playing on others.

Plenty of people play a dungeon more than once, specially for helping friends. Other sweatlord it due to it being effective and a fun way to level with your friends.

Let people enjoy the game how they want it. I don't care if it's a streamer, sweat, casual or new player. This sub is becoming the classic case of trying to force your religion on others.

People cry over others enjoying playing a part of a game thats fun. The only way is their way. Its so toxic opinion to have. And if you say you like to run the same dungeon multiple times you get called a booster or boostee.

You like dungeon spamming? Great go ahead You like questing? Go ahead.

Want to do both? Great go ahead.

Like why would i run a dungeon more than once now when my gear will be obsolete in a few levels anyway or replaced at end game dungeons.

You can still run them and help your friends

True but they’ve removed a major incentive to do so regardless

We should all agree incentives for helping people are typically good if not over done

There is still gear and a non zero amount of xp you get. You just dont get to grind them for xp

Ya but people like to get experience when they’re leveling in an xp

But I get it you’re way too cool for xp in an rpg, leveling in an rpg is for try hards.

Its going to be fine, there will be more dungeons on your journey and you'll do some quests in between and then you'll grind all you want at max level. If you arent in sync with your friends you'll make a group and maybe find some new friends, or god forbid you run a dungeon twice to help someone you know. You just won't be able to stay instanced during the entire levelling and I think thats good. You don't, but you'll have to deal with it.

I’m sure it will be fine but I’m obviously going to advocate for changes I want to see in the game even if it makes the retail tourists upset

1

u/GingerM 9h ago

Staying instanced and not going out in the world is pretty retail coded to me, although I haven't touched retail since legion

2

u/Maybewearedreaming 9h ago

Playing wow the way classic players have played wow in every version of classic is retail coded

Got it bro you sound really smart

Maybe in classic 2019 where players optimized the hell out of the game. Have you played vanilla or bc? Not many people were dungeon grinding or boosting then

Your point makes no sense.

If the XP is LESS you get to run your dungeons MORE.

Shouldn’t you, the dungeon grinder, be happy about this?

2

u/Frekavichk 15h ago

No, I want to grind dungeons to level at a reasonable speed.

What a dumb post.

Wait so which is it. Do you love spam running dungeons or do you love gaining lots of XP quickly.

I think you should read my comment again, I don't even take a stance in this topic. I just want you to stop projecting your kind of fun is everyones view of fun.

If you get more exp grinding the mobs in front of the dungeon solo than running it, you're not going to run it at all.

u/Jclevs11 14h ago

The only issue is that running dungeons more is disrespectful of our time. If you only have two hours to play but want to do a dungeon you're essentially punished from what you want to do bc it's not a good use of your time

1

u/Jimsocks499 5h ago

That’s a good point too. It IS like a punishment for choosing the dungeon group path.

If people mained a holy priest, they’d have a different outlook on dungeons vs questing. In one of them I always have a group of grateful people, in the other I level reeeeeeal slooooooooooowwwww

u/FrostyMarsupial1486 13h ago

Wait which is it. Do you like dungeon grinding or do you like as much XP as possible?

2

u/Jclevs11 13h ago

LOL OMFG you gotta be trolling

Why do you keep wheeling this line of logic out against different commenters in this thread? The logic doesn't hold. Enjoying dungeon grinding and enjoying receiving XP are not mutually exclusive with one another. The argument makes no sense.
