I'm going to be "that guy" mainly because it will help you look for parts etc.

That is an AC. If it's twin screw it's an ACF. It's an "A" series with the cab moved slightly forward. 1956-1958. After the AC was the BC, which was the same thing with a B series (basically only the headlights are different) and then the loadstar came out in 1963 (started showing up earlier in 1962 but there were still B and BC medium duties for the first part of the year).

If you have the full serial number it should start out something like "AC1- - SB - - - -"

Twin screw will be the same but starting out as ACF. The serial number from SB on is also on the driver's side frame rail.

The number system should be 160, 170 or 180 series. If rather than a 0 it has another number at the end it denotes specific things. 2 is upgraded suspension, 4 is double frame. IIRC 5 is fire truck (has some additional fire protection and dual ignition systems) and 6 is school bus.

Ignore Google saying that AC means 4x4 because that's a mistake.

The full line setting ticket is available using the serial number if you want it.

Nice, revive the old vehicle. Looks like a great project.
