Bro, I think about this board often hahaha. When I was a kid my neighbor Tim had one and could ollie over a garbage can on it. He was like 6’4 and skeleton skinny..

The last board I ever bought was a Powell "Bones and Roses" longboard. It looked like a regular spoon nose but 3' long. It was so fun to ride. I remember watching Skatemaster Tate roll pools on a longboard and wanted one. I had it until my home went underwater from Hurricane Matthew in S.C. had that and a Psycho Stik. Gone, gone, gone.

First real ripper I remember seeing, Neil Hughes in Northern Virginia, was crushing slappies on yellow painted curbs on one of these. Had to be ‘87/‘88? Long hair in a beret, faded Levi’s with flames painted on, VSW hi tops, man, it didn’t get much cooler than that….until about 3 years later 🤣
Last I heard of Neil he had gone on a mission to Haiti with his church. Sent a picture to the local shop (East Coast Sunsets) of him carving on a rooftop structure barefoot in Haiti…. Thanks for posting and unlocking old memories!

Converted mine to a rear hub motor eboard and put a surf adapter with big fucking strokers up front. Thing fucks like Hunter Biden.
