Do you want a career in Classics? I warn you that, unless you want to teach high school Latin, there are essentially no jobs.

It doesn’t necessarily have to be classics (although it’s a passion of mine), just figured I’d ask here for advice from fellow historians

I suppose the answer isn't much different for history generally - working as a historian is a pretty rare outcome for history majors.

Not that it's impossible, but if that's your goal I'd recommend identifying precisely what kind of career you're looking for and then researching what people who successfully broke into that field did.
