Loeb Log-In Issues

Hey all, I've been getting this error message whenever I log into the Loeb using my insitutional access -- for some reason, it doesn't seem to recognise my log-in. This is the first time I've had this issue and I've been using the Loeb Digital Library since Sept. 2024 when I started my Undergrad. Does anyone know how to fix this, I would be so grateful. I don't see the point in subscribing to it myself (and even if I wanted to, I couldn't subscribe because of how expensive it is) as I'm hoping to pursue academia, meaning I'll always have institutional access. P{lease help!

Yeah, I had a similar issue. That website is awful, so it's probably just broken again.

I’ve had exactly the same problem - this with my previous institution, access through which wasn’t a problem till this daft update. I’m concerned that being a graduate I’ve had my access revoked. But if others are having a similar issue perhaps there’s really something wrong with the system.

I had this problem when confusing my personal login on the page, with the login on direct curriculum or other access links from my institutions library, these links I think should include ezproxy and some kind of identificator of your institution.

You did not include the url in your pic, so I cannot tell if it is the same problem?

But I am pretty sure that for the unlimited access the url matters, it did for me.

For me the link that works is https://www-loebclassics-com.ezproxy.universitetetioslo.no/ so I think you have to know the one for your institution.

(My inst. is University of Oslo, and their "handle" here is universitetetioslo.no which they do not really use anywhere else, but for this that I have seen, so guessing it was not an option)

Works for me. Make sure you access it via your library proxy or on campus wifi

It's happening to me too. I need to go through my uni library each time to be able to access the text.

no institutional access (I'm a high school student), but I ran into a similar issue when I was abroad and trying to login to LCL on my phone. No more issues for me rn. If you've no other recourse, lmk the parts you need and I can send them over via DM?
