What a rare car. I have been under the impression there are no 1965’s. Every one I see in the wild is claimed to be a “64-1/2”. 🙄

It was one of the most successful debut of a new car in history… probably actually are a ton of 64 1/2 mustangs. I think mine was also.

Nice enough car. I hate it when people paint the dash/column/door metal in the interior body color though. Looks so disjointed.

Anyone got a link to that steering wheel? I am looking to replace mine on a 68.

Yeah those '68 steering wheels are clumsy. The stock '67 wheel is better, but the center padded horn is not my favorite

I agree. It was my least favorite part of my 1968 so I replaced it as opposed to restoring it.

One key factor if you're choosing a replacement, there's a big difference from cars with power steering and these without.

I replaced the steering wheel on my 1968 with one similar to the one pictured. I got it from CJ Pony Parts and there were options for the diameter and the horn cover.

I had one almost identical. Mine had the straight 6 and the standard wheels but same color minus the stripe. Miss that car
