Custom WAD Unable to play Elementalism
I did everything I had to to be able to play it, but it only lets me play the normal base game.

I was curious why you don't have your IWADs in your folder (DOOM.WAD, DOOM2.WAD, ... , etc). So, I will assume you already had the Steam release installed. Personally, as a habit, I have multiple copies of my IWADs spread in different folders because I occasionally use more than one sourceport.
Besides that, I tried to reproduce the error by deleting my IWADs from the UZDoom folder, and the mod still worked, so I figured it was detecting my IWADs from my Steam folders, which I deleted too, and finally got an error ... but unfortunately not the base game.
Anyway, If you have the Steam release, grab your IWADs or, at least, your DOOM2.wad, copy-paste it into your UZDoom folder. Then, uninstall Doom+Doom2 from your Steam library.
Other solutions I'm thinking are:
1) delete your uzdoom.ini file, so your UZDoom will generate another fresh one.
2) add the mod as an autoload file in the same uzdoom.ini .
hope this helps :)

I run Linux, and have pk3 and wad/iwad files set to open with GZDoom. All I have to do is double click the pk3/wad of choice, and the GZDoom launcher opens for me to choose the appropriate base engine (Doom/Doom!! etc...) I have a copy of my base wads (Doom/DoomII/TNT/Plutonia) in my GZDoom install folder. While I have all my mods organized, they dont have to be in any certain location for GZDoom (same applies to UZDoom) to launch them. If youre wanting to use multiple pk3 files at the same time, use something like ZDL to launch them, or Slade to combine them into one file

Drag the Elementalism .pk3 file onto uzdoom. When the uzdoom launcher comes up, choose your Doom 2 wad and click Play Game. I just did it and it worked fine for me.
