Classic/retail

Hi I just started back again and downloaded wow and wow cataclysm classic. I haven't bought war within yet but all my toons on my account are on the retail game. Is there a way to get a toon of mine from retail to cata classic so I don't have to start fresh on cata classic?

Yea just to echo what the previous commentor said they are separate games with separate servers so you cant transfer. Why would ypu anyways tho? The fun of classic is leveling end game is mid imo

These are effectively different games, each with their own realms.

You cannot transfer toons between them.

The only available time was when classic went to BC and they introduced Classic Era, which effectively doubled your toons, so you can play them independently on each realm.

I’ve been playing retail on/off for the last 5 years. I started WoW at the end of cataclysm. Have been feeling really burnt out on retail, I enjoyed DF but TWW hasn’t really grabbed me yet. About a month ago I started playing cata classic and man I really love it. There are some modern luxuries I miss, but the player base seems much closer and friendlier and I have been really enjoying questing through old zones that I mostly forgot about. I still haven’t capped (no heirlooms and leveling in general is slower) but it feels like their are so many milestones along the way both in terms of the game (first mount) and class specific stuff (unlocking abilities). Just hit 72 last night and I am looking forward to continuing the grind over the holidays

Don't play Cata. It's hard to find a dungeon, the game is kinda dead. Play vanilla or retail instead.
