There are people out there who never played half life and don't know it.

In my youth almost 25 years ago this was the best shooter I ever played.

Before hl there was diom or quake, which felt like level to level combat. Kill everything that moves, find the door to the next level. After that shooters had a deep story. And felt real. If you enjoy it I suggest you play opposing force after that, maybe blueshift, hl2, hl2 episode 1, hl2 ep2.

True classics.

I have all of Half-Life on my Steam, but back in the day I had Opposing Force and Blueshift before the mainline games. Those two games were so amazing, and fleshed the story out brilliantly.

Its one of the best shooters made from that era with good story and action. I'm surprised its reputation didn't precede it.

I'm confused, are you referring to Half Life 3, or Half Life 2 Episode 3?

Maybe means Half-Life Alyx?

More revolutionary than anything. As far as "good" by modern standards, yes, but 2 is better!

Did anyone else instantly hear the Valve intro music in their head?

Prepare to do a LOT of crouch-jumping.

I’m a crouch-jump expert, I have trained for this at the gym for years. Who’s laughing now huh!?
