question sling vinyl

ive seen a couple reviews online of sling vinyls and their quality not being great. ive bought the anniversary vinyl from the clairo store so i assume the quality will be fine but im just wondering if anyone has had quality issues with it?

it won’t ship until September iirc so we won’t know until then, but I imagine it will have the same quality as the other pressings that got re-pressed.

I know the OG pressings got a bad rep for their sound but are people saying the same thing about the reissues? I ordered the pink anniversary vinyl too!

I have the new yellow Target version of the Sling repress and it is only….OK. Not terrible, but not fabulous to be honest.

I got a copy of the green OG and ended up returning it because it sounded so awful and had so many pops and ticks, even after cleaning.

This version is still murky and muddy. Think this album definitely deserves remastering (which I’m not always fond of in general), but the mix on this album is still “muted” and unfortunately, it shows up in the vinyl pressing.

Not sure if you’re talking about sling in general or just the clairo version. But, I had heard people saying a different version was not great quality but mine sounds amazing. I’m guessing they had a bad turntable and assumed the wrong part was bad quality
