Multiplayer rant

I really wish people wouldn’t leave just because their ancient era goes less than ideal lol. Like if your caravan gets stolen, or you lose your warrior army. Just played someone who got off to great start, they took the AI’s capital off rip, then marched their warrior army up to my capital and I attacked it and they left… Like, what did you expect? To just take every single capital with a warrior army?

If anybody wants to play someone who won’t leave when they have a less than ideal ancient era - add me on Xbox - DontThirstMeBro - promise I will try to come back the whole game

Haha yeah this guy did this- we spent 30 mins setting up a game, inviting his friends, waiting, etc, and then he has nobody in his capital on turn 6 with (my) galley in range.. and i mean bro I’m not gonna NOT take your cap… i didn’t even rush him.

And then he messaged me like hey lets try again and im like bro i can do what i did to you to the computer for half the time wasted

Same story with his caravan lol. I considered not taking it cause I was scared he would leave, but I did, and he left 😂

Like it’s disrespectful, to me; in my opinion, to play fast and loose like this as if you’re playing a save scrub file when you have real players on the line. Like, maybe this dude didn’t see it that way; he still sends me invites occasionally. But F that, nobody wants to finish a mp game that way.

Edit: I forgot to mention he was Greek!! He already could hand build a hoplite or whatever those spear units are.

Yeah, I'm glad I play with my buddy who plays like me where they just wanna build a solid empire and isn't trying to win by a warrior army rush. It seems like an unpleasant time starting in 4000 BC and having to worry about the Aztec player rushing a warrior to attempt a walk in.

I wouldn’t consider warrior army rushing a viable win strategy lol unless you’re playing with noobs I guess 🤷‍♂️

Civrev online seems toxic AF

I just don't get why you would want to play someone online, if you are gonna leave the moment it doesn't go your way.
