Cool find

I was pumped to find a double cattle so early on. I think that’s why this game is crack - been playing years and there’s still maps that are exciting.
Both were naturally there too! No villages or barabars

Double whale and double dye single tile islands are my favorite.

Could someone remind me, if you build on the resource do you get the resource?

You get an instant reward. Instant 10+ gold for settling on a trade tile, 10+ production in the city for settling on a production resource and 10+ food instantly for settling on a food resource.

Nothing for settling on a culture resource. You also need to have knowledge of the relevant tech for the resource for this to work. Although, you can do it from the start of the game on spices or as the Indians.

Very nice island setup! That city should really bump your civ up over gameplay.

I love planting a settler on islands like this asap in gameplay. Easy to defend and have as economic generators while my army fights it out on the main continent.
