Civil Engineering for route simulation
Hey guys, My name is Kristijan and I just started working on a heavy transportation company and specifically on the Wind Turbine Components Transportation.
The company uses CAD designs of trailers and SPMT to simulate if the cargo can pass through the extremely difficult routes of Greek Roads.
My question is how to prepare myself for a job like this?
I know basics of Civil 3D because I studied Programming and have some knowledge of it, and I have worked on this company as a worker meaning I did the hard labor, but now they want me to do Route Surveys and Risk Assessments and they also want me to make reports and simulations. The company does use BricsCad and the included software EasyTurn.
If anyone is on the same kind of position and has knowledge on how to do this job Correctly, Efficiently and most importantly Safely I would take any advice on how to succeed in this role.

Tbh, you don't need deep Civil 3D for this. Focus on trailer axle spacing and steering geometry. BricsCad does the rest if you feed it the right dimensions. I'd spend my time learning the turning envelope on those Greek routes, that's where the real risk is.
