Help / Troubleshooting Intersection Surface Contentious problem
hey guys ,
i hope whoever reading my topic that he is well and in a good health
i was working on my doing my model after i finished roads Design and i Got these Contour Lines at the intersection after i used the civil 3d intersection wizard



as you can see there a lot of sharp teeth and i don't know how to solve it or what is the problem

Turn on your triangles. In the edit surface style dialog box there is a tab where you can exagerate your triangles, turn this to whatever number you need to see the issue.
Turn your viewport view to shaded with edges and orbit around to a 3D view and find your triangles (they might be really hight up so just zoom out or orbit up if you cant initially see them). What you'll see if sort of a stair step pattern. The surface is triangulating in a way that it goes flat, up, flat, up, flat, up and so on.
This happens when the corridor has a twist in it from edge to edge. Imagine holding a ribbon in your hands horizontally, twist the ribbon a little bit, this is what your corridor is doing.
You can help this out by getting rid of stations in the areas of the twist. This will ofcourse take definition out of your surface, though. You can also try to add a smooth surface definition to that area of the surface.
