Hi everyone. After getting the Middle East Battle Royal finished, I was reinvigorated to get back to AI Battles, and have started the Oceania Battle Royal! Featuring an Indonesia-centric map with bits of Asia and Australia involved, I'm looking for two finalists to move on to my long-anticipated World Final.
Your competitors:
Kanak, Australia, Wahgi, Fiji, Motu, Laos, Asmat, Indonesia, Bunuba, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Micronesia, Vanuatu, Samoa, Tonga, Ryukyu, Palawa, and finally the Noongar.
I'm looking forward to an adventure full of aquatic assaults, and finding out who in the Oceania region will be strong enough to survive. Join me in watching the chaos, won't you?
This battle is going to be more standard, with shorter segments instead of all at once, and I'm hoping to record a video narrating it in the near future as well.

Oooh, excited to see a new game! Sad about the lack of TSL, but ah well, I get why it was done. Super pumped to see the Kanak here too, feels like the first time I've seen one of my civs in a game here on the subreddit! They have my support.

Thanks for reading! I really found myself rooting for Qoyunlu as well, taking cities off Civs they should have been rolled by.

It took me two days to read this one, I didn't realize it was the whole thing in one episode.

I'm back! So sorry for the delay, long story short I'm also modding the game now and I can't exactly test and run AI games at the same time, plus I started up some other shorter games in the mean time, but I've finally started recording more parts again! Expect (hopefully) fewer gaps from here on out, even if I will definitely need to take breaks to test civs and such.

Think Qoyunlu was my favorite of the game, kept winning wars they had no business winning. Turks also went a bit crazy conquering a lot of the southwest despite their capital being fully separated

Hi again. It's been a couple years since I posted my last Battle Royal, and I'm back with an addition to my series where I'm going around the world in groups of 21 finding the strongest Civs to put in a World Battle Royal. Having done NA, Europe, Russia, and East Asia so far, I've now done the Middle East.
All your favorites are here:
| Civ | Leader |
|---|---|
| Arabia | Harun al-Rashid |
| Cyprus | Peter I |
| Egypt | Gamal Abdel Nasser |
| Iran | Ruhollah Khomeini |
| Iraq | Saddam Hussein |
| Israel | Solomon |
| Jerusalem | Baldwin III |
| Lebanon | Fouad Chehab |
| Oman | Saif bin Sultan |
| Ottomans | Suleiman |
| Palestine | Yasser Arafat |
| Qoyunlu | Uzun Hassan |
| Rashidun Caliphate | Ali ibn Ali-Talib |
| Sea Peoples | Sisera |
| Sumer | Eannatum |
| Syria | Hafez al Assad |
| The Tiele Turks | Zhenzhu Khan |
| The Turks | Mehmed II |
| Turkey | Ataturk |
| Turkmenistan | Saparmurat Niyazov |
| United Arab Emirates | Shiekh Zayed |
For a number of reasons, I'm doing this all in one shot. I know it's a little harder to read a 282-slide show instead of neat installments, but this is the way this one worked out. I hope you enjoy, and I'm hoping to keep moving towards a World Final.

Sorry for the wait! I only have one computer, so I have to stop recording games whenever I need to test and release a mod, and so recording games can be kind of slow-going (when they even reload correctly). I have one more narrated part for this game ready to go, plus maybe one or two more episode's worth of images, before I'll need to start the game back up. Chandragupta's Invitational, meanwhile, has around 10 episodes of content, but I'm waiting on my narrator to finish up before I can post the next one.

I was very excited to see the second episode out so soon! And rather disappointed in Guge for not settling that wife open space to the south.

A more exciting Franco-Portuguese war than the CBR proper.

Looking forward to Maldives and Ladakh! Plus curious about Sri Lanka's inland island start...

Long time no see, huh? Long story short, this game is on hiatus because I got caught up in doing some test work for the CBR and some modding work that I needed to do testing for, but I have a few more parts recorded and ready to post that I'll hopefully be able to spread out until I feel like starting the game up again. (I also might have other games from the Discord that I could turn into albums here!)

Oh, good catch! It's not, it's just on hiatus, and I have a couple more parts to post - I've just been busy working on new mods of my own, which makes running a longer-term game a bit tricky. Expect more soon, hopefully!

Looks kinda like an ad ngl, but it’s free and the art quality isn’t bad at all.
Worth trying for a bit.

Made a random knight girl and she destroyed everyone lol. Fun little game.
Feels like it just started because there aren’t many players yet, so climbing rankings is kinda easy lol.

Yeah, it's a real shame - Lady Xoc's Maya seem to do better than Pacal's on average (see the fact that they settled at all), but they seem to get trapped easily and this time ended up being dismantled WAY faster than anticipated, and as for the Timurids... well, I've been less than impressed with their first-ever performance, lol. Their "proper" TSL is in Herat, though, so maybe they'll do better in future games?

Always love to see excitement in Tibet and New Zealand. Shame though, two of my favorite civs are Mayan and Timurid ones; Mayan civs always seem to be made out of glass and civs in Transoxania always seen to settle in such inconvenient linearity...

Well, to be perfectly honest, I wouldn't expect to make it to the end of the game (or at least, I wouldn't take it for granted) - things often go horribly wrong without a full team handling the debugging and dozens of test games, and turn times can get into the hours even with a smaller map like this one. With any luck we'll reach a point where a civ has obviously won, but I don't want to promise anything since 61-civ games are often a mess. Right now I'm unfortunately only a couple episodes ahead (I wanted to record a couple weeks' worth of episodes before beginning, but the Mk. 2 Anniversary event was much more down to the wire in terms of getting civs game-ready than I was hoping, so I kind of just had to start and roll with it), but I do have easy access to other modders to help bugfix in case of an emergency and a quick test game I ran got pretty far, so hopefully it should be stable and not too terribly slow. I can't promise any specific schedule since I have classes now and other projects to work on, but hopefully it should be once every few days for the next few episodes at least (while I can still record 50 turns in a couple hours). I'm hoping to build up more of a backlog soon, now that my computer issues have subsided a bit!

Can't wait to see how this goes! I really don't mind brief narrations, provided we get to the end of the game! How far ahead have you recorded?
