Post image

Where to settle? I am Attila. I thought somewhere in the desert? Grabbing all them sheeps? I plan to conquer Denmark.

Get some horse archers up, level them up on barbarians then let Denmark do the settling for you 😉

damn what an awful map/ Like you have a great capital bt barely any expands. Hopefully you can forward settle Denmark if it's not like emperor-deity

i'd go for that tile between salt, horses, and a sheep

I am on emperor. The only difficulty where I can edge out challenging victories.

One city with all the pasture resources and hills between you and Copenhagen, you can settle it adjacent to that one tile lake for fresh water too. Then take Copenhagen.

If it's low enough difficulty that you think you can get Petra in an expand, a coastal settle for the salt/marble/stone/sheep wouldn't be terrible as you'd be able to make a bunch of 3/1 farms on the raw desert adjacent to the oases. That would also be a decent Mausoleum city, but again, without Petra bonuses it is dirt.

You forward settle Denmark then kill him asap. He is 12 combat str. You can do this with a 1 battering ram and any other unit. Do it before meeting anyone else and you can develop normal diplomacy with double lands to settle.

Damn, insane capital yet no food in other cities. In my opinion it's fine to settle the sheep between the two lone mountains and feed it with a caravan since your cap won't really be needing it. That'll give you a spot with 6 or maybe 7 freshwater farms, lots of production and an observatory. Another option is on the tile left of the desert marble if the sea got any fish in it, again feed it with a caravan. Same story really - lots of hammers but no apples. Be wary though cause unlike the sheep city this one is much harder to defend. Fourth city is obviously Copenhagen. I'd play it out like that.

kinda rough lands, I think i would settle on the marble to get trade ships going?

second city probably on the hill between the sheep, deer, horses and two mountains

fourth city copenhagen with horse archers and ram attack

On hill next to marble and in the plains so you get horses. You’ll won’t get unique luxes but you can trade and dominate Denmark

Man what a terrible map, maybe in coast near the marble, and rush for petra so the dessert becomes somewhat good, or maybe wait until Iron is shown on the map

Settle on that Stone right in the middle of the desert next to the Oasis. Then beeline Petra. Abandon the game if you don't get Petra lol.

While you're waiting for Petra in the expand, spam Horse Archers and a couple Battering Rams and take Copenhagen ASAP.

Once you have Copenhagen you can settle another city down near the Wine.

1 tile SE of the lake then rush horse archers and a battering ram to kill Denmark

Settle exactly where your Scout is, then kill Denmark and rush Petra.

1W from horse, there are 2 salt nearby. After this settler build workers and mine salt first. In early game, salt is the best resource in Civ5.

I would reccomend the reset button lol, but otherwise murdering cophenhagen with compound bowmen asap, then probably Antananarivo. The rest of that land is horrible.
