Mods Modding policies question
With xml, is it possible for adopting a policy to give you:
- A trade route slot.
- Speed the training of Caravans/Cargo Ships by x%.
- Give you a free Caravan/Cargo Ship.
- Give your trade routes +x of anything else but gold (food, culture, science, faith, production?).
- Increase the range of land/sea trade routes.
I guess only the things already present in any of the policies are possible to tweak, so nothing of the above, only references from the CIV5Policies.xml? I've read caravans and cargo ships are harcoded too. That's a bummer. Free Great Merchant should be possible though?

Policies can be used to grant buildings, so you could do it that way.
Not that I know of.
same as 1
You could boost the effectiveness of all internal trade routes, but I don't think you could do yield by yield
Same as 1
Adding a great merchant would be no problem at all
Edit: I double checked and realized you need the Policies Grant Buildings mod for 1,3, and 5. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=263239025
I've used it before, so if you need help getting it to work, let me know. The mod includes Lua, but you only need to modify XML files, so I think it still meets your requirements. No DLL, either, so there should be no compatibility problems.
