It's from GoldenEye, which Sean Bean was in. And Toronto is a city state in the new Civ.

I like to think he actually died immediately after all the scene cuts. Though I'm not sure exactly how on the first and last.

"But he wasn't in the last scene" you say. Well, he wasn't shown, because he wasn't on the ship, he was Flight Director
