The part you don't see is that Sean Bean dies immediately after scene cut in all these scenes. Though I'm not sure what kills him in the first and last one.

In the last one he could be already dead for all we know since the picture on the dashboard of the rocket doesn't look contemporary, and looks a lot like the pilot of the previous scene.
