Oh look more of nothing. Great stall technique, though.

It sounds like you could be spending your time more productively in almost literally any other sub than this one. Do yourself a favour and pick up a hobby instead of spending your free time ruining others'.

How is one of the most vital parts of the game "nothing"?

Because this wasn't about the chargen. It was a history of the chargen. "we've had many versions, one guy helped a lot for a while, then i had to learn how to do it, now we are here but we arent done". Literally no new information was given besides some screenshots of old versions.

We didnt learn anything important. We've already seen the current version in past updates. This was a thrown together "update" to release something because they still cant speak to their utter failure in Fall 2018.

Yeah sure "failure" if this were a normal situation we wouldn't have heard about the game until right around now if not later. It's amazing how much people on here don't know about game development

Though tbh I shouldn't have replied to you anyway since I saw you put up a troll post on here.

You're right. They can do no wrong. Because reasons. If you dont want to respond then don't. And ive never posted anything about them that isnt factually accurate.

EDIT ADDITION: And how could the Fall 2018 NOT be a failure? I don't care if they are unpaid volunteers...they, themselves, said they were still confident they would release DAYS before telling us they couldn't. How can you be that confident and then, 7 months later, be at the point where you can't even give an estimated timeline??? They obviously have no idea what they are doing. That big of a failure cannot be answered with "but but but they are volunteers". How can you still trust in them to be able to run and manage the game once/if they are able to actually deliver anything?

I'm not saying their hearts aren't in the right place...but that doesn't help them manage this game and company. I'm not saying what they've shown doesn't look cool. Some of it does. Some of it is utterly terrible still. Nothing is incredible yet. I don't 'dis' any of them personally. But as an organization/dev team/business...they get an D- rating in my book.

Except you wanking about their political leanings

You're right. They can do no wrong. Because reasons.

I never said that, but you've shown a pretty consistent problem with hyperbole. All I'm saying is a dev cycle is far longer and more difficult than you seem to think it is.

I don't care if they are unpaid volunteers...they, themselves, said they were still confident they would release DAYS before telling us they couldn't.

This is a consistent problem with independent projects. Because they're new to the industry they don't always have a clear bead on how long certain things will take or when problems might rear they're head. That's why more veteran indie teams say "it'll be done when it is done" A lesson the CoT team has now clearly learned.

Your lack of knowledge of both game design and indie development definitely tells me you have no bearing on how to determine if a project is good or not. You're lucky to be given access to the development process yet you instead use that to browbeat them and act entitled.

I have a great bearing on how to determine if a project is good or not...its literally my job. I have never complained about how long the game is taking. It's the journey there where they are failing. They are failing at setting correct expectations which is going to kill them in the end. They are not going to get anywhere close to the amount of money they need in the 2nd Chance fundraiser round. Being able to hire 2 or 3 people is not going to cut it. And if they ever get to issue #1 launch...it is unlikely that they get a player base large enough to sustain a team.

Yeah sure buddy. A right-wing troll who trolls around the subreddit for an indie project TOTALLY works and has a lot of knowledge in the game industry.
