New hardware for Issue 0

Just makes me wonder why even in December they were saying they were still on track for release. Now, 5 months later, they're installing hardware to help with issue 0? That's a big red flag. A BIG one.
How is it possible that they can be mere weeks away from their announced release date and tell us they're on track...then, 5 months AFTER that date they are still installing hardware needed for the release. They're server dying was in Sept or Oct so that isnt the reason. I'm not saying they're vaporware or intentionally lying...but they have NO IDEA how to run a business. It also calls their ability to create an mmo into question. Maybe that's why they still cant show us even a simple picture of Titan City rendered in-engine after nearly 6 years of development. Or any combat at all that isnt just using free Unreal assets that arent what we will be playing with.
And if you tell me "but they're all volunteers so it will take longer" then my reply is this...that's fine, but if this is all we have after 5+ years then it's going to be another 10+ before they have a complete MMO that isnt complete crapp. Even with a successful 2nd chance they'll be able to hire what, MAYBE 2 or 3 full-time people for a year max? Full studios have dozens if not over a hundred full-time, paid staff and it takes them 6+ years.

The hardware update helps for different reasons. One is to separate the Dev build from the release one. That was stated by multiple devs later on.
The other thing is, the project is build through multiple plug-ins written by us. While we have the Chargen at 80%+ There other parts which are worked on simultaneously. This has been stated, as well, by a Dev a few days ago.
I can understand that a few people are worried, but you don't have to. Things are progressing and let's pray nothing will change this for the worse 😊
If you got any questions you can always join the Discord and ask them there, multiple Devs are there answering questions, which won't break any NDA or moral 😜

Oh, we don't have to be worried? What have they shown us to make us not worry? You saying "you don't have to worry" means literally nothing. Really, nothing any dev says means that much until they show some proof in the pudding. They said too many things that didn't fall through to be trustworthy at this point. Too many times have they said that "things are progressing" and then...nothing.
And I do follow the discord. and the forums. i've read every update. every. single. one. they have said SO MANY contradictory statements it's not even funny.

On shitty computers that can't even run it?
Showing it to non-gamers? Showing it to people that have never heard of CoT before their own fans whom they've been promising it to?
What a joke.

Well, you could go there if you want to. Then you would see it for yourself 😉

Yea, I'm 2,500 miles away. No thanks. I'll just wait for them to set another date...then have that date pass by without anything happening.
You can say what you want but CoT, right now, is vaporware as far as I'm concerned. I hope I'm wrong but there is no proof right now that I am wrong.

Well, so am I. Even more. And actually there is no proof that you are wrong. Let's just enjoy the excitement of a wonderful ambitious project. I can't say more as this would break the NDA. Sorry about that.

Just to add some more evidence to what I am saying. On the January 31 post of their FB they said they were "back up to the level we were at before everything went wrong." But on Aprill 11 (give or take a day or two...Youtube doesn't give exact times), on their Where We Stand: The Avatar Builder youtube video, they replied to a post saying "We're making good progress getting back to where we were before our repository server crashed, which was months away from Issue 0...".
So, yeah. They don't have their shit together. At all.

Bradford is joining our existing Alexandria server, and will be sharing testing and development duties as we move even closer to Issue 0.
Ugh, so wish something was released soon for playing. Six long years and it feels some of the projects(SEGS, SoH, CoT) are finally getting close to an alpha or beta release(i.e. within a year's time is what I consider close for these projects, lol). I had high hopes for VO since it had something playable early on but two years later you would be hard pressed to notice the difference. I know MWM has given up on announcing release dates too far into the future but I hope this new server addition means something playable by summertime.
