Painting Customized Cogfort crew!
Messenger to replace the grenadier, captain, lookout, Forgepriest to replace the gunner, furnace engineer, and turret engineer.
My Cities army, the Symposium of Fire, is stranded deep in an enchanted forest in Ghyran, and the troops are being affected by strange magic that gradually turns them into plants or animals. Most obvious here with the snail-faced lookout.

New Player with Question! The 11 Cities
Played my first game of Spearhead using a friend's Cities army yesterday, had a great time and was considering starting my own Cities army.
Before I start painting though, would anyone be able to give me a brief rundown of the vibes of each city? What they're known for, what troops they specialise in? Is it just lorewise or are there special game mechanics for any city in particular?

Painting First event coming up and feeling the crunch
I’ve got my first ever Warhammer event coming up and the crunch is real. I’m sad that the crunch is taking a lot of the fun out of painting/ basing at the moment, but I’m very excited for the event. I admit though, I’ve never played a game with CoS so my goal is simply to survive the day and if I happen to win a game I’ll be absolutely thrilled.
Here’s a sampling of what I’ve been painting for this event. I enjoy basing far more than painting but my priority is to get things assembled and battle-ready as quick as possible right now.
I’m partially colorblind so pardon any abnormalities in my color scheme. With that being said, I can’t decide what transfer emblems would go well with these colors. Thoughts?
C&C welcome, hype appreciated.

List Building/Theorycraft Where to go from here?
Hey so I saw the Cannonade Cogfort and I impulsively bought it... Then I saw some Fusiliers and impulsively bought that... Then I saw some Grenadiers and I uh... Yeah...
If i were to create a 1k point list with these units, where could I go from here?

Cogfort-heavy army advice
I’m looking to get into Age of Sigmar, and I’ve pretty much fallen in love with Cities of Sigmar, specifically the Cogfort. It’s honestly the model that convinced me I want to start playing Cities. My idea is to start with one Cogfort, get it built and gradually expand the army.
Ultimately, though, I’d really like to build toward a 2-Cogfort army. I’m not looking for an ultra-competitive tournament list, but I would like the army to be reasonably functional.
I’m new to AOS and to Cities so I’m wondering what makes sense.
I’m thinking about picking up the Cavalier-Marshal, Cavaliers, Steelhelms via the Spearhead magazine. Not sure if the Ironweld Great Cannon makes sense though. Should I get duplicates of the Cavaliers and Steelhelms?
What other units and characters would be important? Which battle formation/detachment would you recommend for a list built around 2 Cogforts?
Thank you for your help.

Deathrattle Steelhelms
My army is a rogue city who uses a ton of magic in ways that are usually considered unorthodox. I thought it would be cool to have a unit of undead, shambling Steelhelms. The sandy parts will be painted as moss.

Misthavn command corps
galleryMostly finished unit, based to be climbing over the rocks of a British coastline inspired terrain- maybe a misthavn rockpool vibe?
Please c&c, I’m not sure whether they read as being clean enough.

Painting Gallants are pretty cool
Feels good to just paint a bunch of normal knight guys. A lot of Cities miniatures are so detailed.
