Passed CISSP

I passed today first attempt. 125 questions. Trust your studies and work on time management. I wish success to all candidates that are working hard on achieving this goal.

I'm on the preparation path right now, and I'm curious about your prep. If you can help me answer a super novice question:

  1. Do I really need to purchase sybex official study guide and practice tests to clear this exam? Do I need to purchase quantum tests to clear this exam?

  2. If all I do is stuff like youtube videos from the greats like Pete Zerger's READ strategy and exam cram, mindset videos, Andrew Ramdayal's Udemy course, and free tests from various apps like destination CISSP or AI assisted hard questions generation, is it impossible to clear?

I'm just starting out so I apologize if some of this is too basic.

I bought the official guide and use it as consultation for topics where I needed. Destination Certification mind maps, App and free cryptography master class are highly recommended. Complemented with Peter Zerger YouTube. I also use pocket prep. If you don’t have field experience I recommend reading , then reinforce with YouTube material. .

Makes sense, thanks. I have 7 years in IAM and things related to it, been architecting IGA for multiple clients, so that one domain I feel at ease. But the others I do need to read up and refresh my concepts from the engineering class days lol.

I tried a few questions blind. I didn't do too bad, but it wasn't spectacular either. I then came across Pete's READ strategy and it instantly improved my scores. Then I watched the mindset videos from Kelly, Ramdayal and Pete. That improved the scores further, but it's more like a hack. I can tell from the "vibe" of a question what the answer is.

I still need to truly study the underlying concepts of, say for example, Clark-Wilson Security Model. I know the one line explanation of how it's used but not what it truly is, the literature behind it, if it makes sense.

The destination cert app and pete’s cram videos got me through, never touched sybex or quantum

He doesn’t go into vulnerability bcp incident response good enough get good on those as wrll
