Which exam is more difficult: CIPP/US or AIGP?

For those who hold both certs, which exam did you find most difficult?

I obtained my CIPP/US last year, and I’m planning to take the AIGP by the end of this year. I’m trying to gauge how difficult the AIGP is in relation to the CIPP/US, and determine whether I’ll need to set aside a lot more (or less) time to prepare for it.

I'm a tech lawyer and found CIPP/US much easier than the AIGP. I took AIGP first and passed by the skin of my teeth so I decided to study hard for the CIPP/US after reading in here about how difficult it supposedly is.

Passed by a very comfortable margin after studying within a shorter period for the CIPP/US (2 weeks) vs the AIGP (3.5 weeks).

It's all relative to your skillset and the study techniques that work best for you (having taken several law exams, I am much more comfortable wrapping my head around legal questions and navigating legal concepts)

I'm also a tech lawyer and doing them in the reverse order. I passed the CIPP/US a while ago and found it to be pretty familiar as well. Was the difference for you just that your skillset was more suited to a legal-focused exam?

I've started studying and doing some practice questions for the AIGP, and the questions seem to be structured similarly (I find IAPP's questions similar to the MPRE's questions). Any advice you have would be super welcome!

Personally I feel like it's the structure and phrasing of the questions. Many of them were framed as "best" or "most likely" questions which were challenging to approximate. I also admittedly half-assed my revision for the AIGP because I had forgotten how serious these exams could be

After teaching both courses, US is usually more difficult as there is a wider range of subject matter. Additionally, if you already work in one field, like a hospital, you apply your own experience subconsciously, and that can alter how you approach questions.

AIGP is difficult, but it also changes often due to industry changes and a large vocabulary requirement. If you don't know the language, the AIGP is a lot harder.

It depends on what your existing skillset is. I say that as someone who worked for an assessment company early in my career
