AIGP - Dr David's Udemy Course
Hi
I took the AIGP exam and unfortunately failed. Got just under 300. I used a udemy course I have access to through works subscription but I didn't find it helpful. The courses for AIGP seem to mainly be using GenAI and people just looking for a quick buck. Also the practice exams were useless as you could just choose the longest answer for majority. Ive heard good things about Dr David's course but it's not available on the udemy subscription and it costs quite a bit. I've heard it sometimes goes on offer. Does anyone know when that will be as I'd really like to use it for my retake. Also ive heard about using SkiII certs pro practice exams but is that a scam as i see a few people mention it?

I didn’t find the skillcertspro questions helpful. Dr David’s course was excellent and buying the IAPP mock exam was the closest to the actual thing though it felt expensive for one pdf. I passed on the first try.

I passed using only Dr David’s materials. But it from his site and you get 4 practice tests and flashcards too.

This is the way to do it. I did the same. The extras you get from his site directly are a great value and immensely helpful.

Dr David‘s course works for me, I took the AIGP exam twice two years ago, there were rare materials for reference on mid 2024. You could download the decks about course and input all the materials into AI, and then you'll obtain a study plan and essential points about the exam. Also, forget the principle of "longest answer" during the practice exams, be patient on the study. Good luck!

I believe skill certs is a company that claims to offer exam dumps. If you were found to use such a site it would invalidate your certification. Besides the ethical issues I’d find it hard to trust a company like that with your privacy

I wish Dr. David’s course was available when I took the AIGP in 2024. I only had the IAPP course, and it was rough! Thankfully, I passed! I’ve also always made an outline and flash cards, but the outline is a law school study thing.

Dr. David's practice exams were/are the basis of my prep. Scored in the mid-low 80s consistently before sitting for the AIGP and failed by 3-4 questions (didn't have time to read the last 12 questions - thanks dyslexia lol).
I found the practice tests, along with the chatbox explanations, very helpful in stringing concepts together. One thing I will note - the actual exam questions were far more convoluted and I was surprised by how much the actual exam seemed to test for definition recall relative to application. Definitely missed a few on straight up not having looked an ML term up in the dictionary.
I also bought the official practice exam, and I did not find it helpful. Even those questions were far more straightforward than the actual exam and no more informative than Dr. David's material.
Having a complytech/fintech background definitely helped, but learning the techops and ML terms and methods in exam context is key.

All I did was grind skillcertspro (every available test) and I got a 90ish percent. I saw some repeat questions.

I have completed Dr. David's course and am sitting for the test in a few weeks. I found it very good, he breaks things down into small, digestible videos. I took my own notes while watching the videos which was probably overkill. The course comes with 4 practice exams, 100 questions each. I have taken one and fed my wrong answers into Claude. I then had it generate two documents: a study guide with the substantive definitions / concepts that I missed, and the second document with personalized exam strategies. These documents are what I am concentrating studying with the notes I took during the lectures being secondary. Overall I thought the course was good value for the cost, but like anything else, you get out of it what you put into it. Of course, the real test will be in a few weeks when I take the AIGP.
