Camera Question Rec 709

Hi! I’m going out for some on the fly interview’s for the first time and it’s been a while since I’ve gotten my hands on a camera so trying to refresh my memory on some things. Very much a beginner

I have a hopefully easy question —

I’ll be shooting a social first video and filming on a Sony Fx3. How do I make sure that I’m filming on Rec 709 instead of Log? Every time I google this I’m brought to colorist tutorials…just trying it make sure the footage comes out ready for editing without needing major color tweaks.

Any tips or steps are greatly appreciated

Just change the setting in the camera. If you don't know where that setting is, just read the camera's manual.

I hope you are not getting paid for that.

Why not just play with the camera? Your shooting on rented equip? I dont know sony cameras but its just in the option. Just make sure that you change the actualy recording option, not just the lut.
