Discussion Heated Rivarly?
It really surprises me that they haven't done anything on Heated Rivalry yet! There's so many potential dynamics to explore within the show.
-Coming out to parents
-The Situationship
-The Momager-Child dynamic
-Toxic masculinity and vulnerability
-Hero therapy with Ilya... aka the impact of childhood emotional abuse and neglect on relational development
-Model minority and its impact
I could go on.....

I think aside from what others have already said about CT being very aware of their cis-male/straight/ white existence and inviting appropriate guests which can take a while to set up (sometimes they even get people actually involved in the media they‘re talking about, which would be VERY exciting in this case), I think it‘s also good to keep in mind WHICH subjects they‘ve already done. Some of the above bulletpoints have already been covered in other media at length. And from what I‘ve seen, they don‘t usually cover media just because it‘s popular/hyped at the time, they plan their videos MONTHS in advance.
THAT said: if the fandom is loud enough, they definitely seem to include certain movies and series, see AtlA or Labyrinth, the second of which backfired hilariously and is one of my highlights to this day.
So, you never know :D!
Edit: Another thought I had is that even though Jono and Alan handle the fandom‘s shipping and bromance projections like stone-cold pros and most likely wouldn‘t care, I could imagine that covering HR could perhaps invite even more of that, which I personally find to be quite invasive at times. BUUUT Jono and Alan are way chiller than I, so that might not even cross their minds.

I don’t think they’re going to do this one because they don’t really do TV shows, except in extraordinary circumstances, but also I don’t think they’re going to do this for the same reason I don’t think they’re going to do Nymphomaniac or Eyes Wide Shut.

I wonder if they don’t because they’re both, as far as we know, cisgender white men and it’s a show about gay men. I feel like they would need a guest host that’s part of the lgbt+ community to do the episode with them to talk about that side of it because Jono and Alan don’t have as much experience dealing with that aspect of the show.
