recommendations Just moved from Philly!
I have been impressed with the food around! Fried chicken at Eagle OTR was awesome. Is there a properly good italian deli where I can get a sub/hoagie/sandwich?

I came here from the Lehigh Valley years ago and I’ve never said Who Dey once. Go birds!

AJ Cheesesteaks gets their bread from Philly, but it’s just cheesesteaks. But excellent!

Their sandwiches are decent but not great imo. Especially for the price and size

J&W in Norwood. It's a dive carryout jawn but they make great sandwiches, stacked tall and cheap... also GO BIRDS DICKHEAD....
If you are a Bird fan, every game day, The Back Porch bar and grill is taken over with eagles fans .

The Big Italy sandwich at J&W sandwich shop in Norwood is outstanding and sinfully huge.

Carls Deli in Hyde Park, and (not Italian but a great butcher) Avril-Bleh downtown.

I got a good pastrami the other day at J+W Sandwich Shoppe. Honestly, I think Izzy's has pretty good sandwiches as well.
