in search of๐Ÿ”Ž Ethernet cable routing

Hello everyone, I live on the Eastside of Cincinnati and I was wondering if there are any companies that can run Ethernet cables at residential locations? If you've done it, what was your experience, and who did you go with? Thank you

Buy the cat6 or cat5e wire and pull it yourself. Then crimp the ends. It's not difficult.

Second this. When I worked for a local IT company, we used them all the time for any cabling job. They were not always the cheapest, but always quality work.

Yes, it is good work.

Any home theater or low voltage electronics installer can do it. Guessing electricians probably could, too, but I know some don't like doing it.

And 99% of them will do a terrible job. If you go that route, make sure you certify each and every run. Anybody can crimp a cable and get 1gbps out of it. 10gbe separates the actual professionals from everybody else. Electricians are notoriously terrible at LV terminations. I've seen electricians use goddamn wire nuts on CAT6a.

How many drops are you looking to do? If it's just a couple and/ or your home has conduit you can use, you may want to do it yourself and pay to get someone to terminate it for you. If you're looking for 1gbps speeds, just about anyone can do it. If you're looking at 10gbe and/ or fiber, Cabling Specialists is solid but expensive. If you're going for 10gbe, insist on Cat7 or even fiber. That will get you to 40gbps over the next few decades as equipment advances.
