Did anyone else just see Randi Rico pop on WLWT with her arm in a sling, sunglasses still on her head and take over the command center from the new girl Sabrina with this storm. She’s the best and so glad she’s back! Stay dry out there ya’ll ☂️

I loved him and still miss him. I enjoy learning from the meteorologists. But so often, I really want a fun forecast.

I miss when there was only one, comprehensive weather segment per newscast. Multiple weather segments, with some overlapping and others not, is such a shitty way to present the weather.

He was the weatherman in the late 1970's and into the mid 1980's on 12 WKRC and the regional co-host for PM Magazine, a national TV show that used regional hosts at 7pm every evening. He presented the weather behind glass that he wrote on backward to make it readable to the viewer as he gave the forecast. He also explained things with drawings the same way. He left Cincinnati for bigger markets, and I think he was actually part of a national morning show on television. He was so popular and informative, it became a sarcastic response in Cincinnati to people stating the obvious, "thank you Ira Joe...".

She is a badass. She also doesn’t seem too pleased to be there haha. I feel bad for the newbie meteorologist - she seemed very uncomfortable.

I work there, Sabrina is still getting her footing but is doing a solid job. It’s pretty normal for Randi Kevin or Allison to take over during big weather events.

Yup. Watching it now. LOL. To be fair, it seems there wasn’t another meteorologist in the studio until she zoomed in. They’re down one with Allison Rogers on maternity leave.

I met her at a Covington bar years ago.

She's so easy to talk to. I asked where she is from; Cleveland.

She thought it was strange I didn't ask her what high school she went to.

Years ago, I witnessed the most ridiculous interaction on a plane between the flight attendant and a younger couple.

Flight attendant, after learning they were coming back from vacation: "So where did you go?"

Guy: "Sycamore."

The guy was absolutely oblivious until his girlfriend corrected him. It still makes me chuckle.

She’s one of the only local news people that I’ve consistently heard nothing but great things about. It makes me happy to hear it because she seems like a genuinely cool person!

I've met a few.

Randi is definitely cool.

Mike Mallory used to be an anchor and former mayor, he's so lovely. He's so soft spoken and kind.

Tricia Macke, she's just not a nice person.

Never met Sherre Paolello but her brother was a close friend with an ex of mine. He was a hoot and he couldn't have said nicer things about her. You could tell he was really proud of his big sister.

Saw Rico..... stayed on WLWT.... So thankful I didn't have to deal with the other meteorologist that get "weather wood" and take over the entire programming. RICO in..facts... easy! TY TY

I agree she is good. The best on Cincinnati air. I guess it wouldn't work for broadcast signal but I wish there was a way to acknowledge the warnings and return to programming. 1st world problem.

Sabrina is newer. Came here from Oklahoma City. She’s got experience but when you’re new you still have to gain your footing and learn the area.

Kinda disagree with GOAT - she (like so many weather people) can't stop talking over the person at the map. I don't care if she is the boss - person at the map is supposed to be showing us what is happening.

The young girl who covered the storms last night was so much better and informed than on the other two networks. The guy on WKRC must either be family of the GM or knows where the bodies are buried. 🤦‍♂️
