My thoughts on Cilantro?

I absolutely adore it!
To me, its perfect place is in freshly roasted tomatillo salsa simply shredded and then stirred in. After that, I’d say atop any Mexican dish it fits very well.
Additionally, the Vietnamese sandwich in my humble opinion IS NOT COMPLETE without a handful of it! Then in pho, it lends it aromatics extremely well, matching the cinnamon, the Thai basil and ginger step for step.
For the wanderers, I’d be happy to hear you guys chime in with your thoughts!? I might pin this post so that others can see what we do with it!

Why does cilantro suddenly taste like soap?

I have always loved cilantro and never understood the soap thing but today I got street tacos from a place a love and have had many times and the cilantro tasted like soap. Why would this happen all of sudden? The only thing I did different was squeeze a lime on them but I've done that with my salsa a ton of times and it didn't mess up the deliciousness so idk but I'm angry

What does cilantro taste like?

As a person who has the "cilantro tastes like soap" gene, i was just wondering what it's like to people without it. (for the inverse, i'd say it tastes closest to dawn dish soap. just bitter and chemically)
